Summary
“Oh,” said Stuart. He really did look young. Maybe eighteen, nineteen. He’d probably be out of the business by twenty. He didn’t look like someone who needed to do this; he looked like a kid experimenting, trying on boots too big for him. “You feeling alright?” asked Stuart. “You seem a little, uh. Bad.”
‘Bad’. Murdoc rolled his eyes. “I’ll be fine once you give me my fix.” He made a come-hither gesture with his fingers. “C’mon, give it.”
“Er, you have to pay me first. That’s how this works.”
Murdoc needs a fix. Coincidentally, Stuart is trying his hand at dealing. They come to an arrangement.

Summary
He turned to inspect his attacker. Tall, with long, greasy hair and a pointed nose. A big forehead, crooked smile, and fuzz on his upper lip. Lean and muscular. More so than Murdoc, so there was no way he’d be able to take him in a fight even if he hadn’t been armed. He wore a varsity jacket with an ‘A’ emblazoned on the front and pants that looked a lot warmer than Murdoc’s thin, skin-tight jeans. The clothes were scruffy, dirty, so his economic status couldn't have been much better than Murdoc’s - hence the mugging, Murdoc supposed.
“C'mon, mate,” he said, his breath misting the air. “I’m having a really shit week. Just let me walk.”
The mugger raised a pocketknife at him. It was a nice one, too. Long and sharp, gleaming under the distant, sodium orange glow of a streetlamp. It’d make a mess of his insides if he plunged it into Murdoc. “I said, hands over your head.” He took a step closer. “Slowly.”
Ace attempts to mug Murdoc, discovers he has nothing to his name, and decides to take him in.

Summary
He only needed wait a few hours for Murdoc to check on the other cyborg, which infuriated Cy-D.
Murdoc didn’t enter the room. He froze in the doorway, staring in at the scene Cy-D had left for him, his face pale and drawn and his body swaying from his latest bout of drinking. When he swallowed, the sound was wetter than it should have been. Perhaps he’d become fond of the cyborg, or perhaps he was just disappointed that his plans to rejuvenate his band were coming crashing down around him.
“You didn’t need her,” said Cy-D, breaking the silence, and Murdoc jerked around to face him and nearly fell over as a result. His elbow smacked into the doorframe and he barely seemed to notice. “You shouldn’t have built her when you had me.”
Murdoc builds a cyborg of 2D and ultimately abandons the project. This goes as poorly as you might expect.
