Summary
One thing the group of toman could agree on was the way that Chifuyu and Baji talked to each other was insane. It was like a catfight between the two constant insults flying everywhere. It was hard to believe the two were a couple. Sometimes it was the downright brutal shit they said to each other.
Even when the two met it seemed that Chifuyu's steel tongue and Bajis horrid temper meshed with each other well and somehow instead of starting a fight it actually made a friendship that eventually years later when they were 16 and 17 became a relationship. And this was something the group agreed on; it was good for them. The tension had clearly been there for years, the loving pushes and shoves behind the harsh words. The fact that Baji always insisted that Chiufyu rode with him even after he got his own when they were 14.
It was sweet in a way in some of their opinions, that even some foul mouthed gangsters who fell in love wouldn’t change their practices—and loved in their own language, literally.

Summary
She wanted him to make a speech at his funeral. Chifuyu almost immediately let the word no slip out of his mouth. There was no way he could, he wouldn’t even be able to get a word out. And there were undoubtedly others who had better things to say than he did.
But she corrected herself and said it wasn’t an option, as her son's closest friend he had to do it.
So now here he was, standing in front of the funeral home. Where he would help his best friend's family lay him to rest. It soothed him how there weren't that many people there, but also burned him a little because Baji deserved so much more. The world should've stopped for his best friend and everyone should've been mourning. But that wasn't how it was.
Even his so-called childhood friend Mikey and the rest of the founders weren't there, despite him telling them.
Chiufyu took a deep breath, then did what he had to do and opened the door.

BajiFuyu week 2023, day 1: Winter. 10/28/23
Winter had to be Bajis favorite time of year, it was colder, fewer people were outside, and comfier clothes were acceptable. Plus a lot of major holidays happen this time of year, Christmas, Hanukka, and his wonderful boyfriend's birthday.
Chifuyu would be turning 26 this year, it was also the couple's 10th anniversary of calling their relationship official. He knew asking the other to be his boyfriend on his birthday was stupid. He had stressed out all month about doing it.
What could he say grown-up Baji Keisuke always seemed to fall on the cheesy side.
Which is what led him to now.
