Summary
Trey knew who the figure was. He knew it all too well. It was Jade Leech, his boyfriend, sitting poised on the edge of his bed, acting as if this was Jade’s own room, and not Trey’s. What he didn’t know, however, (and didn’t want to know, for that matter) was what Jade was doing here, and how the mer had entered, or, for that matter, where his roommates were.
Despite all of the unanswered questions, however, Trey didn’t say a word, only stepping forward, staring at his boyfriend in a trance. It was only when he called out Jade’s name that the mer finally met his eyes.
“Jade…?”
Jade turned around, mismatched eyes glowing and mysterious, alluring as ever. The sweetest sharp-toothed smile grew on his face, and he closed his book, setting it aside as he put his left hand over his chest in the way he always did.
“Happy birthday, Trey.”
Jade wishes Trey a happy birthday. That's it. That's the plot.

Summary
Trey set down the spatula, walking over to where Jade was. A vanilla scent entered Jade’s nose as the baker sat down, leaning against the counter, his signature smirk still plastered to his face.
“You’re always trying to push my buttons, Jade, to see how I react and what I say, aren’t you?” Trey’s golden eyes glowed vibrantly, mischief lingering in his expression. “Well, I say to hell with that. Now it’s my turn to do that to you. It’s my turn to see what you say, how you react.”
It's Treys birthday.

Summary
“Ne, Goldfish, do you know what day it is today?”
It was the tenth time Floyd had asked the question, his wide eyes and sharp teeth getting all up in Riddle’s face each time he repeated it, the glistening triangles staring Riddle down.
Riddle’s gray eyes flickered over him. The previous times Floyd had asked, Riddle hadn’t bothered to dignify him with an answer—there was still work to do, after all, and Riddle couldn’t afford to rest for even a second. This time, however, as Floyd stared at him, not bothering to hide the obvious excitement in his smile, Riddle couldn’t help but crack, averting his eyes from the mer with a light pink tinge to his cheeks, tucking a strand of red hair behind his ear.
“November 5th,” Riddle answered with a sigh, putting a gloved hand on Floyd’s face and shoving him away, trying to concentrate on his work. “It’s November 5th, Floyd.”
Floyd laughed loudly, pulling Riddle’s hand off him, grabbing it in his own larger one. “Yup~! It’s my birthday~”
It's Floyd's birthday.

Summary
“What do you intend for us to do in the meantime then?”
“Something good. Something fun.” Trey smirked. “I still haven’t given you all my gifts yet, you know. Why don’t we do that?”
“Gifts?” Jade glanced at the gift bag that Trey still carried in his hands. “I thought you only had the one gift?”
Trey laughed, following Jade’s gaze. “Do you really think this is all I’ve gotten you?”
“Yes?”
“Well then, that’s where you’re wrong.” Trey leaned forward, surprising Jade with a whisper in his ears, the third-year’s deep voice sending shivers down Jade’s spine. “I have so many surprises for you, Jade. And you love surprises, don’t you? So why waste your time on nonsense when you could be spending your time with me?”
It's Jade's birthday.
