Summary
The front door opened with a crash, and quickly slammed closed again. Dazai listened as the frantic pounding steps approached and deliberately slowed just before reaching the bathroom’s entrance. He wasn’t sure if that was Chuuya’s attempt at masking his concern, or if it was a reluctance to view the horrors within. The knob turned slowly.

Dazai Osamu has found himself in trouble again– sinking into the deep pit of darkness and despair that truly makes him feel inhuman. As usual, Chuuya comes to his rescue: to cut himself on the sharp edges of all of Dazai’s broken pieces.[or: Dazai is a pitiful bby and Chuuya adores him.]

Summary
As he heard the door slam shut behind him, Chuuya was not entirely aware of how he’d gotten to Dazai’s apartment. The location of which, and the route from his own, he still knew by heart. Without a second thought.
He followed the familiar hallway, sprinting, stumbling slightly to the bathroom at the back of the apartment. The feeling-- that terrible, sickening feeling-- welled behind his eyes and their edges burned. Slowing a bit, bracing himself on the wall, he tried to breathe. He swallowed the stinging, the gripping, the pounding, suffocating sensation back down. His hand found the knob.________
When Nakahara Chuuya sees the familiar appellation, 'Mackerel,' pop up on his phone screen for the first time in four years, he's filled with a mixture of terrible longing, and bitter anger. Both of which melt into fear when he realizes why Dazai has called.

Summary
Things looked different in the dark. Bad ideas seemed better. The shape of love was ill-defined and made out by feel instead of sight– fingers tracing jagged edges until they appeared smooth. Glossing over imperfections the eyes refused to miss. In the dark things were shadows and echoes. Easier to tilt the head, strain the ears and call it love.
Something about the dark and the night and the moon– Makes me into a fool, the brunette thought to himself. Dazai’s gut twisted with a small shame.
Something about the dark. The night. The moon.
People are blood and water. And like the tide maybe the moon moved people too. Sent them places the sun wouldn’t take them. Parted their loosened lips to kiss and whisper secrets against their better judgment.
Dazai rolled over, turning his back to the window. He pulled his covers up over his head to block out the light. The sheets still smelled like Chuuya. They’d have to be washed immediately. Thrown away entirely, perhaps.
