Gakushuu’s not-so-helpful guide to surviving finals week (and a haunting, but that’s really only secondary) by NoMotNeedSleep

Summary
Gakushuu opens his front door and sees the doll levitating over a crudely drawn Sigil of Satan in a circle of candles. Flames fill the room, and he is pretty sure that his apartment is not supposed to be burning.
He closes his door and opens it again, just to be sure, and, yep, alright, it’s still on fire.
The doll’s head does a sick 180 and watches him with empty eyes.Yeah, okay, he’s not doing that.
So Gakushuu does what every sensible adult would do: he closes the door, walks away, and hopes that his problem solves itself.Or: Gakushuu tries to survive finals week (and gets haunted along the way, but that's really not as big a deal as it sounds)

Summary
“Oh, you did not watch the child endangerment trials on TV.”
Right, he’s not in Japan, these people probably don’t know about the whole ‘human experiments middle school murder plot covered up by airing his family’s dirty laundry’ thing.
“The what?” His teammate Ava chokes, and yeah, Gakushuu actually doesn’t really want to get into that right now. Like, no thanks, he’s fine.
“Doesn’t matter. Anyways,” he claps his hands like an elementary teacher and gives them his best saccharine, I-would-rather-be-anywhere-but-here media smile, “where’s our fourth group member? Last time I checked, sleep deprivation made me see things double, not vanish people, and I only count three of us.”
“He’s a no-show, but…” He stops listening. Fantastic, exactly what they need for this torture of a project. The ground looks very inviting. Gakushuu actually finds himself contemplating the benefits of just faceplanting right now.
“What was this about brainwashing? Can we just circle back like two sentences, please?” Tyler asks.
“Nope.”
Or: The one in which Gakushuu suffers through his group project, gets stabbed and stockholms a doll. Not in this order.

Summary
“So, I really don’t want to sound like the stereotype, saying all Asian people look the same, no offense, really, but,” Ava stretches out the vowel as she props up her head, “you’re like a carbon copy of your dad. It’s almost scary, like a mini clone.”
“Wow, really? I never noticed before. That’s crazy,” Gakushuu deadpans, and he hopes it sounds as dead as he feels. No wonder no one noticed a ten-foot yellow balloon of an octopus at their school campus, if that’s the observation skills everyone’s been blessed with.
“Very funny,” she rolls her eyes and gestures at him with her pen. “Listen, I’m just saying if that’s how you’re gonna look like as an actual adult, damn.” She whistles and Tyler very soundly chokes on nothing.
“Did you just call my dad hot?” Because ew. Ew.
Ava just shrugs while Tyler clearly tries not to suffocate. (He doesn’t sound very successful.)
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game. But I mean it, it’s kind of scary. You’re not actually a clone, are you?”Gakushuu lets his head bang against the table.
“Just kill me.”
Or: The one in which Gakushuu is a responsible adult and definitely not avoiding anything.
