It’s clear they were both thinking the same thing: That Maggie thought Stiles is young, sure, but in his early 20’s. On the other hand, Derek’s fully grown beard makes him look like he’s in his early to late 40’s, and it doesn’t help that he has a few grey hairs in his beard.
Maggie takes the cards and her eyebrows touches her hairline. She says, suddenly animatedly sorry now, “You’re 20, and he’s older but he’s only 26. I’m so sorry.”
