Summary
Will felt nothing, no fear, no anger, no pain, just...numb.
Is it your heart that breaks first?
He punches the mirror, feeling the glass shatter into a thousand tiny shards. The pain is immediate, but it's a relief, a sensation that tells him he's still alive. Blood trickles down his knuckles, a crimson river against the stark white porcelain sink. The room seems to tilt around him as he watches the red droplets pool on the counter.
Fragile bones.

Summary
The room swirls around them as the music takes over, the strobe lights casting a pattern on the floor. Will feels the weight of the world slip off his shoulders as he lets go of his fears and worries, moving with the rhythm of the music. The boy's hand is warm and steady in his, and Will can't help but feel a spark of something he's never felt before. They move together, laughing and bumping into others as they dance, the alcohol finally working its magic to loosen him up.
The boy, adorably, puts their joint hands above Will's head to spin him.
Will's stomach flutters as he feels himself being spun, the lights playing tricks on his vision. But when he opens his eyes again, the boy is still there, smiling at him like he's the only person in the room. And maybe, just for this moment, he is.
"I love this song!" Will says, dancing to the beat.

"You're early." Mike exclaims, trying to shake off his daze.
Lucas shrugs, throwing his jacket at the couch. "You said you were a suicide risk." He jokes.

Summary
Mornings were hardest.
Mornings were even harder when you were extremely hungover from the night before, which just so happened to be new years. Will was super drunk. Like, couldn't-see-straight, slurring-his-words, clinging-to-Mike-because-the-floor-was-spinning drunk. It had started out innocently enough; a couple of drinks to loosen up, some shots for fun, and before he knew it, he was three sheets to the wind. Mike had been keeping an eye on him, sipping on a ginger ale and watching his best friend (boyfriend?) with a mix of amusement and worry.
Christmas Day had been a blur of emotions. The text from his dad had come out of the blue, like a slap in the face after all the progress he'd made. The words echoed in his head: "Hey son, I want to take you to lunch on the third. We have so much to catch up on." It had been almost two years since they'd last seen each other, and Will had hoped that maybe, just maybe, he could keep his distance a little longer.
