The truth, you just wanted the truth. That's why you started studying journalism in a city where the truth was manipulated by those who had the power to buy it, those who had the power to manipulate it and hide it in their favour so that everyone else would serve as puppets of ignorance. Even people you trusted could lie underneath their excuses and excuses that only served to justify their falsehoods.
The truth always came out to light.
You just didn't expect the truth to come out after being trapped inside a city that was about to be bombed by the scarecrow and whose streets had become engulfed by a strange militia whose leader you had never heard of, let alone expected to have to ally yourself again with the man whose crusade you hated so much and whose lies had made you what you are today. A broken and distrustful woman.

Summary
Everything started with a little slip and ended with a big bang, but that end was just another beginning.
In the blink of an eye she was back in that coffee shop, looking out the window and after hearing that question that fed the bad feeling inside her chest, cold sweat running down her neck as she turned her gaze to her companion. Her breathing heavy as she watched her life flash before her eyes as the sound of glass shattering and metal passing through her head.
A cycle that repeated itself as she saw a helmet as red as her blood at the edges of her gaze.
