“There wasn’t much thought put into ‘Ivy?’” Rook had mentioned his real name only once during a particularly good dinner prepared by Lucanis and enjoyed by the whole team together. He'd been a little drunk, too.
“No,” Rook said it carelessly, like it didn’t really matter. Lucanis was close enough to him that he heard the slight hitch of breath, a telltale repression of emotion. “See the ivy growing on the mausoleum? That’s what I was named for.”
