akito faintly whines, “i w’nt toya…” as his lips pull into a frown, rubbing the corner of his eyes with his knuckles. “please… i want… ‘oya…”
“i'm right here,” toya leaves the cup on the side of the bathtub, and cups akito's cheek with his hand. “i'm here, it’s me, toya.”
“...really?” something in the cloudiness of akito's eyes lights up, holding his shaky hands out towards him. “toya…” he sniffles, tipping forward to weakly loop his arms around toya's neck. “stay… close.”
or, akito gets sick early in the morning, delirious and exhausted. toya knows he just needs some extra love and care.

toya slouches, a shaky hand raises to his mouth. the road whips past his eyes through the window, and when did it get so hot?
kicking off his shoes, he tucks his thighs to his chest, heels teetering off the seat. “i feel… nauseous…” he hides his gaze in his knees. “feel c-carsick…”
“c’mere,” akito grabs the water bottle from him, screwing the cap back on and tossing it back in the cooler. he taps toya’s shoulder, motioning him to lean into him. “tell me when you get too nauseous, ‘kay?”
or, toya doesn’t know the effects of long car rides in the back seat. unfortunately, it leads to horrible nausea.

toya's eyes are watering, tears rimming the edge of his eyes, so akito already gets the message.
akito brings his thumb up to the rim of his eye, wiping it away, then rubbing circles into his temple. it eases the headache slightly, so he leans.
"okay," he gently brings toya's head into his chest. he sinks in immediately as he keeps massaging the pressure point gently, and toya can't help but purr. "there you go."
or, toya wakes up with a bad fever. akito knows exactly what to do to keep him comfortable, because that's what a partner should do.

if he just collapsed, akito would still probably drag him. but he's aware enough to not do that.
his visage was already washed out, his hands trembling through the hold akito had him in. he used his free hand to wrap around his stomach, too focused on how much it hurt to care about the vomit dripping onto his arm.
toya only realizes that they've reached whatever room, (he thinks it's the bathroom), when the latter starts pulling off his stained clothes. he let himself comply, weakly raising his arms as akito took off his sweater and shirt, throwing the dirtied fabric into the bathtub behind him.
"i know, uh," akito started, turning on his heel towards the door. "i know they might not fit you too well 'cause you're taller than me, but... you can borrow some of my clothes, okay? i'll grab them and you can take off the rest of your clothes."
or, toya can't stand being alone, nor with other people. maybe akito's an exception. and his comfy clothes too.

akito propped himself onto his elbows shakily, sitting up to lean into toya's hug. "t-this is so embarrassing..." he let his head fall onto his partner's shoulder. "just, you really don't want to leave me alone? even when i'm like t-this?"
"i want to help you, akito. always."
"...are you sure?"
"positive."
he bit his lip harshly, turning his head away. he hiccuped into his hand, tears running gently down his cheeks.
"i-i feel so vulnerable." he mumbled, putting a hand to his mouth. "i don't feel like i deserve to be taken care of. but, i want your comfort, so bad."
"and i'm here to do that." toya pushed himself a bit closer, running a hand over his spine. "always."
or, akito ultimately gets sick on toya, though toya doesn't panic. he's just there for him, always.

he shoved his head into the crook of her neck. "toya..." he sang weakly, swaying slightly side to side. "toya, toya, toya..."
