Backstory for "What moves the dead"! Sorry this took so long to come out, I was sick :<.
Serafina was a child, she loved her mother. Even though she had been gone for months on end, at least Serafina still recieved her letters. Promises for a better life, a life lifted out of the 'poverty' and 'sqaulor' she called Biltmores basement. In a way, Serafina started to agree with her, because mother knows best- right? That's what all the books she read said. In late spring, her wish was finally granted.
Leandra had finally returned.
But at what cost? Was leaving her homeland worth it? Was leaving her friends worth it? Was never seeing her father again worth it? Was her marriage worth it? Her children?
