Jim has known Alfred longer than he's known Lee. But as with Lee, there is strength in the man. Like with Alfred, she is a voice of reason amidst the chaos that is Gotham. He needs them, both of them, and he doesn't know what to do about it.

Notes:

This idea came with the fact that I love Lee, and I love Alfred, and I love Jim's relationship with them both. But dammit, I wanted more, so here it is. This is going to be a bit of a stumbling point for me as I get back into writing again. There will be SPOILERS for the series, even though it WILL be canon divergent to a severe degree. And because I am a big DC nut, there will be other appearances of hopefully familiar characters, but I will always give basic information about the character, as well as label properly.
