There was an openness in those blue eyes that Elphaba often wondered if it was possible to fake. They had dropped the honorific – Glinda stated that there was no need for that when it was just the two of them. Despite knowing better, knowing that she would only end up being hurt in the end, Elphaba had grown to care for the blonde. More than she liked to admit.
