Summary
Med finds himself alone, his parents killed by vampires and robbed of everything he didn't even know he had. He believes his life is over before it began, and he's only a teenager too. Med was meant to be more than this.
Through a cruel twist of fate, he's ended up in the place he hates the most. Strict rules and pompous priests... he's suffocating here, in Rosymorn Monastery.
The only things making these long years bearable are his books... and what Lathandar's teachings say of the undead.
- This is a companion piece to my other fic, Per Umbra. For the most part, you don't have to read the other fic - it's just when we get to the end that their paths converge. I will try to make it make sense without having read the other fic. If you do read the other fic, please, please check the tags! -
I'm unsure on what to give as a rating for this fic, so I've gone for mature. I might change it, depending on how the story develops.

Summary
Halsin and Astarion are in an established relationship, and it's been a couple of years after the events of the game.
It's cute, it's fluffy, and Halsin asks Astarion on a date...? But they've been together this whole time already! Astarion agrees, of course and they end up at the theatre... but the play is looking strangely familiar.
Not really any spoilers for the game, but you'll get more out of it if you've at least reached act 3. All written from Astarion's perspective.
(Technically part of a series, but can absolutely be read as a standalone)
