Prologue to my “Come to Me” series; it doesn’t really matter whether you read this series or the other one first. Harvey and Mike’s relationship is intended to be platonic, but if you’d prefer pre-slash, you could also probably easily read it that way.

AU: All top-tier firms in major metropolitan areas in the U.S. require associates to sign contracts consenting to corporal punishment by partners who supervise them.

Harvey has never supervised anyone directly before. He’s determined to protect his new associate from his own mistakes and from punishment by other partners, but he’s reluctant to let Mike know how much Harvey cares or the lengths that he’s willing to go to stick up for him and keep him out of trouble.

Notes:

Warning: Workplace disciplinary spanking/ corporal punishment of adults by bosses/ supervisors. Contractually/ legally consensual within the AU, but often coerced and involuntary due to employment contract requirements; would therefore not be considered consensual outside of the AU.

These stories are set during the first nine episodes of Season 1. Since “Come to Me” establishes that Harvey successfully shields Mike from corporal punishment until the events of Season 1, Episode 10, this series will mostly involve discussion/ threats of spanking rather than actual spanking scenes, though some stories may include scenes where associates other than Mike are actually spanked/ paddled. This series is mainly focused on protective/ forgiving but dominant Harvey. The “Come to Me” series includes actual spanking scenes in every story.
