Summary
“You’ve been quiet this morning.” She peers at her husband over the edge of the mug at her lips.
He answers without looking up from The Prophet, a smirk on his lips, “I’m a man of few words.”
“Draco.”
The newspaper is lowered and grey eyes meet amber across the kitchen table.
“You–ah,” Draco clears his throat, sharp cheekbones pinking slightly, “you said something last night when I carried you to bed, and it’s just – you were barely coherent, I’m certain you didn’t mean it.”
“What did I say?”
She watches as his left hand curls into a fist. One minute passes, then two, and her tea is finally finished when Draco swallows and relaxes his hand onto the table.
He swallows. “You–you said I should fuck you while you are asleep.”
“Oh.” Hermione’s eyes widen. She watches as his shoulders tense and his expression settles, all the while keeping his gaze away from her own. Cocking her head to the side, she gives his foot a playful nudge. “Well, do you want to?”
“I–” his intake of breath is sharp and the way his eyes darken has her heart stuttering, “yes.”
