Far beyond earth's orbit, deep into the cosmos and into the vast expanse of our solar system, rests a city built amongst the stars. It’s neon glow and streets of gilded chrome lure in many with its light; much akin to the creatures deep down within the depths of the ocean– where sunlight fails to warm the waters, and the bones of wales decorate the barren, sandy floor. It exists as a flicker in the dark; a glimmer of hope within the ever expanding void. But the moment you approach, a gaping maw opens wide, swallowing you whole. You are now another victim amongst countless others.
VIRA was to be a staple– the pinnacle of human innovation. It was a project that was supposed to propel humanity into a new golden age, where science and innovation could thrive without the intervention of worldly laws and politics. A utopia of sorts.
Only fools believe in utopias.
There are parts of VIRA that many do not come back from. And in those seedy back alleys and hidden nooks, death is a mercy compared to what happens to you in reality.
VIRA is no sanctuary. Woe be to all who seek it within its walls.
