Description:

May 2026: This series is not abandoned, but please stop asking when the next work is coming. I wrote eight fics totalling 1.3mill words in 10 months. I'm allowed to take a break and work on something else. If the current date is not February 2028, do not ask me when the update is coming or if the series is abandoned. To the 99% of readers who leave lovely comments and don't ask about SoN: y'all are awesome, please keep being you.

Percy has been seeing the past and the future all his life. When he was seven and about to die, he called out to Apollo for help. Apollo brought his brand new baby prophet to his oldest living son, Lee Fletcher, to care for. From there the events of Percy Jackson and The Olympians unfold, both similar to, but also entirely different from canon.

Characters are slightly different ages than canon, and some have different backgrounds. This is Percy Jackson reinterpreted with found family, far too much future knowledge and way too much involvement from the Fates.

Notes:

PJO Prequel: You’re a Demigod, Percy, 7yo Percy’s first few months at camp.

The Lightning Thief = The Path Not Chosen

Sea of Monsters = The Thread Yet to Be Renewed

The Titan’s Curse = A Hero’s True Purpose

The Battle of the Labyrinth = A New Age of Heroes

The Last Olympian = Children of Fate

HoO Prequel: Weight of Expectations, starting with a 7yo Jason

The Lost Hero = Hope for the Future

______

I began writing this series on May 19th 2025. Prior to this, I had not done any form of creative writing in nearly twenty years. But this story idea would not leave me alone, so I started writing.

The (original) prequel is my first ever piece of fiction and is much rougher than each following instalment. I do intend on going back through one day and fixing the more glaring typos (complete as of Feb '26), but please feel free to let me know if you see any that particularly bother you.

This means that the current version of the prequel was posted AFTER the TLH fic. And is the most polished of the fics currently. So, there are typos and clumsy phrasing in the TLT-TLO fics that steadily improves as I get more practice. Feel free to call out any typos that particularly bug you, one day I will go through and fix as much as I can.

I do not use the original text except for occasional uses of dialogue only. I have re-interpreted and rewritten the rest in my own words with my own spin on things. I re-use scenes, add my own and sometimes remix them entirely. I only learned after I was halfway through the series that most fanfic writers who re-write the books do use chunks of the original text and I'd just made a lot more work for myself, but I'm having fun, so.

I write using Third Person Limited in present tense, and POV switches mostly between Percy, Clarisse and (after the second book) Nico. Occasionally you'll get an interlude POV from Dionysus, Apollo, Hades, Triton, Lee, Piper and Leo. Leo and Triton only have a couple of scenes from their POV in the PJO arc. There's a single POV from Austin somewhere in there too. When we get to the HoO arc you get Reyna, Jason and Octavian as well. Plus lots more Piper and Leo in TLH. And Hazel and Frank get to have their say from SoN onwards.

While I used the canon characters I have changed many ages and backstories. These are explained at the stories unfold. I have followed the events of canon, but the changes mean that like in any fan fiction, the story is also significantly different. Take that as you will :)

I am not American and the majority of my time spent doing research for this has been on US geography. Trying to make the stories make sense was a little too frustrating at times and there are points where I just gave up and used RR's original hand waving geography. Though by HoO I am making a concerted effort to use accurate geography and history.

I am currently working on continuing with HOO.

Son of Neptune:
I legit only started writing fic in May 2025. I'm still brand new at this and I am writing fic for fun. While I am still busily writing I am also taking a breather from this series after producing 1.3mill words in 10 months, as well as entirely rewriting the prequel. Please stop asking me when SoN is going up. It's not abandoned, I just need a break from Weirdest Prophet and to spend some time working on another project (two actually, one of which will be going up on A03 as another PJO rewrite). Seriously, 99% of my readers are completely awesome. But the 1% who keep asking why I 'abandoned' the series or demanding an update are not so great. Just... please don't do that?

I am now on Tumblr, with the same username as A03.
