During the year on the run Satine had a locket, a necklace made of beskar which she wore at all times. When the war ended, she gave it to Obi-Wan as a gift. He kept it hidden all those years until their reunion in the clone wars, when he had to face his feelings for the duchess. No matter how long they spent trying to convince themselves otherwise, they are still in love. And in this timeline, they will do something about it.

Before he managed offer back those words, he used to show her through his actions how much she means to him. After almost losing her, though, he tells her that he loves her, he has always loved her.
