Summary
Sickfic companion piece to This Time Tomorrow Chapter 34: Quinn retreats to Logan's grandparents' home to nurse her grief after a devastating miscarriage. She tries to physically outrun her heartache with the comfort of parental warmth, soft voices, blankets, and tea being forced on her. If only Logan kept finding laughter with his grandfather, she might outrun the raw pain clawing at her chest. But the heartbeat she and Clay lost still pressed up behind her ribs every time the house fell quiet. She was the one still breathing, but some nights, she felt just as gone.
Meanwhile, Clay never meant for the rain to drag out the grief he’d buried behind polite calls and glass office walls. But long before Quinn, he had carried storms bigger than anyone saw: eighteen when his father’s plane vanished, twenty when he steadied Sara through her sister's funeral. Then he buried Sara too, and still found a way to stand tall for Logan, for his job, and his grieving mother. Quinn knew every ghost by name, felt them in the tremor of his shoulders when he thought she wouldn’t notice.
This loss, this heartbeat that never flickered, cracked them both wide open in ways no business pitch or mere rain could wash away.

Summary
This Time Tomorrow OC Endgame — The official report said robbery gone wrong.
Oliver Tanner wrote it himself: five words, not one of them true. Four months later, he's still turning up at his dead partner's house on Saturdays, fixing what isn't broken and asking for nothing. Then the worst cold of his life moves through the precinct, and a body, it turns out, keeps secrets far worse than a mouth does.
