Oda is not stupid.
He knows that Dazai is touch-starved. Knows that Dazai is touch-averse.
His guess is that when Dazai has been touched, it has not been kindly. Dazai flinches from touch, but he seems starved for it.(or: Dazai has a habit of turning up on Oda’s doorstep after his failed suicide attempts, and Oda figures out pretty quickly how desperately the loser needs touch even if he dissociates every single time it happens. Oda doesn’t really care how long it takes for Dazai to learn that not all touch is scary.)

Summary
Dazai shows up to Bar Lupin with bloody knuckles and a fever, playing it off with his usual grin. He plays the part of the Port Mafia’s Black Wraith, until the sickness strips the act away—and suddenly it’s hard to forget he’s just a fifteen-year-old kid. Oda and Ango see straight through him, and before Dazai knows it he’s being hauled back to Oda’s place—where tea, cartoons, and unwanted care wait for him instead of whiskey.
