He had to wrestle with the System a bit over it, essentially waving the OOC feature as a permit, but it had aquiesced. Now, it even kept a helpfull counter, which would soon tick up from 2/15 to 3/15-
His hand dropped onto something that could hardly be called hair.
Shen Qingqiu froze, patting the head a few more times. It was, unfortunately, a head.
"Did this disciple adopt birds, and needed a bird's nest instead of hair to take care of them?" He asked.

"Shizun-" he whispers, tears gathering at the corners of his eyes. He had promised he wouldn't cry after the first day on Qing Jing peak, when tears mixed in with the hot tea dripping down his face, but he can't exert enough control right then. "It hurts-"
Shizun's face is pale, hands shaking as he wipes at Binghe's cheeks gingerly. He glances to the side, staring at nothing while looking like he's in the middle of an argument, his lips thinning into a flat line.
Binghe whimpers, desperate to redirect shizun's attention. He just wants to smooth out the wrinkle between his brows.
He doesn't expect shizun to press a kiss against Binghe's forehead, right over where demons have their zuiyin.
...Right over where Binghe should have his.

"There's my precious white lotus," Shizun mumbled, and Binghe's heart skipped a beat as he stared, wide-eyed. "My perfect disciple. Oh, I missed you so much..."
Binghe was- drinking it all up. He was confused, too, but he didn't dare set a single braincell to the task of unraveling that mystery, too concerned with memorizing every second.
This was... Much different from the way Shizun had acted when they met earlier. Had it been because of the audience? Had the Huan Hua Palace disciples robbed Binghe of such a welcome?
"I should have known you'd come," Shizun repeated his earlier words. "After I saw you. I haven't seen you in a single dream, not even a nightmare of the Immortal Alliance Conferene. Oh, Binghe, I was almost afraid I had forgotten what you looked like."

He was still talking, but Binghe could barely hear him over the sound of his own sobbing. But even if this was just his imagination, it was still shizun. He was hearing shizun’s voice again, and he was wasting it. He made a concentrated effort to focus on his words-
“-Binghe made this master think he was dead!”

With a sigh, Shen Qingqiu stalked outside. The dog scrambled to straighten out, though its movements were visibly sluggish.
“What, is that not good enough for you?" Shen Qingqiu sneered. “Can't bring yourself to eat off the ground, you spoiled thing?"
The dog tilted its head in confusion, glancing down at the meat.
Cautiously, looking up at Shen Qingqiu as if it expected him to kick it at any point, it reached for the meat. It paused constantly: when its teeth touched the food, when it dragged it a bit closer, when it took the first bite.
It didn't think itself too good for dried rations; It thought itself too lowly.
Shen Qingqiu ignored the pang that sent through his heart. Instead, he turned on his heel and left.

It was a silly game, but one Cheong Myeong had quite enjoyed. And, considering that Shen Jiu never complained (too much) about being asked to identify "aphrodisiac" plants from time to time, Cheong Myeong would continue playing it.

“Apologies!” He quickly said, righting his grip on the pipa as the Immortal Master helped him hold it up. Only then did he realize who, exactly, he ran into. “Oh, is Immortal Master Yue here for his husband?” A devious idea popped into Binghe’s mind. “He just left!”
Immortal Master Yue blinked, his expression turning odd. “...Husband?”
“Ex-husband…?” Binghe tried to correct. But it seemed like Immortal Master Yue was no longer listening, his smile growing.
He turned around towards the doors to the room; Doors which, as Binghe only now noticed, were now open, Immortal Master Shen standing there with his arms crossed.
“Xiao Jiu would like to get married?” Immortal Master Yue asked, sounding so elated, as if the mere idea was the best thing he’s ever heard in his life.
