“Is it time?” She asked, and as she spoke, her voice carried with it the melody of ancients, a voice so low yet so authoritative, a voice gentle yet divine, a voice that reached into the very depth of one’s soul and vibrated within your bones.
The witch shivered under her emotionless, yet kind gaze, “Pardon?” She asked.
“Is it the day? The Day of Judgment?” Eternity asked her, leaving behind trails of icy footsteps as she approached closer.

“I-it’s beautiful…..” Melly found herself saying, unable to take her eyes off the beautiful ornament.
“I am glad you like it,” Eternity said, “I made it for you.”
Melly looked up, alarmed, “I, no, no, my lady. I couldn’t possibly–”
“I insist,” Eternity said, “It is a return gift, in exchange for the robe you gave me.”

“I-” Eternity’s brow furrowed, and a mournful look took over her face, “Am I always destined to hurt that which I wish to protect—” She mumbled, eyes downcast, and an anxious expression on her face.
Melly sat up, “Lady Eternity,” She addressed her, muttering a spell as she traced the left side of her face to let the ice subside, “Please don’t be so harsh on yourself…..I am okay.”
Eternity looked at her, still lying on the bed, eyes melancholic–as if she were holding back grief of something more than the current moment–
