He doesn't feel regret. In a way, it's peaceful that everything broke apart from his own hands this time. Planet just wishes he knew what came after, that he could get rid of this nagging feeling that despite crumbling the cycle between his fingers... It's difficult, hard to comprehend.
Planet's simply a pawn on a checkboard, one that they had never had control of. Never for long, anyways.

Oh. “I was!” It's one of the fakest lies Planet's ever attempted, and that's a lot of them. “It's just better to be safe than sorry,” He crosses his arms, looking away from the person sprawled beneath him. It ends up doing little to avoid Parrot's piercing gaze. “Sorry?”
A snort. “Damn, quickest you've crumbled. Maybe I should be sick more often.”

While, yes, they seemed to be shorter than him, they were too close for comfort, studying him. Gaze blank and unknown, and Parrot is the one taking a step back with a hesitant smile.
"Planet,” He responds, finally, to Parrot – reasserting themselves after a moment, though. “My name is Planet.”

Summary
“You’re being stupid,” they protest.
“If keeping us safe is stupid, then sure, you can think of it that way,” Parrot shrugs, doubling down. There's something bittersweet about them arguing over trivial things again, it's reminiscent of how things used to be. “Besides, they'll only get messed up again.” He continues, voice quiet to reduce the echo.
It's nice knowing that they can still fall easily back into place after being separated for so long.
