Terushima Yuuji is a menace.
He parties too much. He drinks too much. He gets into fights.
Or, at least, that’s what everyone tells Daichi when he asks around to find out who he is.
That's why when Daichi gets his partner assignment at the beginning of his business class and he unfolds the piece of paper that reads “TERUSHIMA YUUJI”, he’s not really looking forward to meeting this guy. He’s certain that he’s going to be useless – one who barely goes to class, if at all – and that means Daichi is going to have to complete this whole thing by himself.
So why is it that when he finally meets this enigma, he's nothing like what Daichi expects?

Daichi freezes, one hand in the air, the flashlight he’s holding looming dangerously close to Yuuji’s head. He squints his eyes, his heart racing from the adrenaline of what they’re doing. Or rather, what they’re trying to do.
But that idiot Yuuji is just staring back at him, a cheeky grin on his face.

It’s been thirty-six hours now since they last spoke.
Honestly, Daichi doesn’t even remember what started the fight. Was Yuuji being short with him? Was Daichi expecting too much? Maybe it was Yuuji leaving his laundry on the floor, or Daichi not calling when he came home later than usual and missed dinner. Was it Yuuji’s fault? Daichi’s? Were they both at fault?
It’s always like this.

They’re not the most conventional of couples.
Yuuji is bright, loud, wild at heart; he loves surfing, online gaming and going for walks at three in the morning. He’s friendly and talkative, he likes to spend time with his friends and he sometimes gets a little too riled up. He is emotional and sweet, and feels everything with his entire being. Happiness, sadness, anger; he’s quick to feel them all, and feel them wholly.
Daichi is calm, steady, and he has the biggest heart; he spends his afternoons reading mystery novels, he loves baking and listening to thunderstorms. He’s kind and quiet, only being loud when he needs to, and he finds enjoyment in his time spent alone. He’s confident in himself, and in those that he loves, and he’s often unbothered by what anyone has to say.
Many people don’t understand their relationship.
