Summary
Abaddon curses his 10,000th year. The year he was banished to earth.
When he woke up, every part of him felt like it was on fire. He began to crawl out of the crater. Stumbling, the smoldering angel felt the need to move. Towards where, he did not know, but he couldn’t stay there. He longed to retreat into the darkness for at least another 1,000 years again.
He was rendered powerless. No longer was he invulnerable, visible by the mangled wings and limbs that dragged behind him when he walked. Still, he was immortal.Despite his towering stature, he had never felt smaller, or weaker, or more lonely.
A small part of him wanted to beg. Beg the Lord to take him back, say that he was sorry, and that he’d change. An even larger part cursed him. Curse Him and heaven. His own ichor tastes like rot on his tongue.
After a while, he came to rest in a clearing.

Rustling leaves snapped him from his thoughts. Growl rumbling in his throat, he whipped towards the noise. Then he saw him. A human boy peeked from behind a tree.

Abaddon is cast from heaven and gets tangled in the life of a strange mortal whom he definitely does not care about.

This creature was dangerous, but she came prepared. She turned down a corner, gripping the silver, wolfsbane-tipped spear at her hip. It would regret that it had even glanced at this hotel.
Thunder rumbled, and quickly, the patter of raindrops accompanied it. Perfect mood for her hunt. She continued, slinking in the shadows.
They said it was just Abaddon being Abaddon. It couldn’t have been. Mom cut his nails. And he had been missing since yesterday!
