Compared to many others in Orzammar—well, almost everyone in Orzammar—Bralinden had lived the charmed life. She was loved by the Assembly, got along decently with the majority of those she crossed. But in the end? It did not matter. The universe—the Maker, the Ancestors, or whatever gods were at play—decided that Bralinden’s good fortune was to end."
Or, when the Warden has issues about her family and their decision making skills and Zevran has a sufficient skill in eavesdropping.

Then, it was quiet. Bralinden’s arms were weak, trembling under the strain. She was gasping, unsure if she was going to die only a moment later, until everything settled, the blast receded, and the shaking from the blade had finally fallen still. Bralinden’s arms grew stuff, and her legs dropped from underneath her. Collapsing, she drew herself down, still supported on the blade, slipping onto the arch demon’s corpse. She was too frightened to remove her hands from the hilt.

It was strange, to see Bralinden so gentle. Alistair had grown so accustomed to the familiar scowl etched on her face like she was made of stone, so to see her features relax, and dare he say it, see a ghost of a smile had made the trip worth it. As Alistair glanced towards Zevran, whose eyes were on Bralinden, he was certain that Zevran was thinking the same thing.
Or: Bralinden Aeducan, Chancellor to King Alistair Therin, pays a house visit to an old friend’s family in Denerim. The king and her husband tag along to observe.
