Summary
“You didn’t have to say yes,” Galuf murmured, voice still hushed from sleep and nerves.
Lévis regarded him with faint, analytical focus. “I do not say things I do not mean.”
Galuf’s chest tightened in the best possible way. “So... you wanted me to...”
Lévis didn’t blink. “I allowed it.” A pause. “And I did not dislike it.”
Galuf’s grin spread slowly, warm and disbelieving. “That’s your way of saying you liked it, isn’t it?”
Lévis opened his mouth to deny it, and didn’t. “I found it… agreeable,” he settled on, but the slight color rising along his cheekbones gave away more than he intended.

Summary
Lévis didn’t realize he was shaking until Lovie took his hand.
It was ridiculous how easy it was for Lovie to make him feel like a child again - small, scared, desperate to be better. But now, for the first time in years, Lévis didn’t pull away.

Summary
Domina whispered, almost afraid to break the silence. “Why me?”
Lovie squeezed his hand.
“Because you’re like water,” he said. “Strong, restless, sometimes stormy, but always moving toward something.” He smiled softly. “And I want to be there when you find where you’re going.”
Domina swallowed hard.
He didn’t understand why Lovie chose him. But he knew, deep, deep inside, that he wanted to stay by Lovie’s side. Wanted to return the warmth he’d been given. Wanted to let himself be held by the person who calmed his tides.

Summary
“You’re pacing,” Galuf said eventually, not even looking up.
Lévis stopped mid-step. “I always pace.”
“Yeah,” Galuf replied. “But this time it’s the bad kind.”
That earned a sharp glance. “And you’re an expert on my moods now?”
Galuf finally looked at him, crooked grin softening into something quieter. “I’ve slept in this room five times, kissed you... well, I lost count after the twelfth time, and almost got electrocuted once. I’d say I’ve earned the right.”
Lévis scoffed, turning away, fingers tightening at his sleeves. That was the problem. Galuf had earned things. Space. Familiarity. A place close enough to notice when Lévis’ breathing changed, when his eyes went flat instead of sharp. Too close.

Summary
They both knew this wasn’t just a birthday.
For Lovie, it marked another year of fragile health regained. Another year he was here, smiling, alive, trying.
For Lévis, it was a silent acknowledgment of survival. Of pressure endured. Of expectations fought.
And for Domina and Galuf, it was the first birthday they would celebrate not as rivals. Not as distant allies, but as something softer. Something terrifying. Something worth planning glitter explosions for.
Domina straightened, regaining his usual composed expression. “We have three hours before dinner.”
Galuf cracked his knuckles. Acid magic shimmered faintly around his hands before he suppressed it. “Then let’s make it perfect.”
