Summary
He leans down and the blond tips of his hair, wet and cold, caress his skin like a kiss. He shivers all over.
“Open up,” Victor says, and it bolts through his body like lightning.
Instead of opening his mouth wide to receive him –as one would do with spit, or tears, or regret from a lover–, Eli’s chest cavity crumbles apart, blood and gore pooling around his body like the tears that dried away in his face. Victor crawls inside, curls like a cat, and makes home inside Eli’s body; side by side his beating heart and cradled inside the bloody landscape of his ribs.
