Summary
Following the events of the Hawaii episode Kenny hasn't stopped thinking about the experiences he had with Butters on the island of Kauai. He got to see a beautiful environment and spend paradise with someone he didn't expect to develop feelings for. He is taken aback by this because he has known Butters for sometime but never looked too much inside himself to realize how he was feeling. When they got back to South Park, Butters started showing his gratitude in a few ways for accompanying him: giving Kenny gifts (little snacks, paintings), offering to walk with him from school, when he's not grounded, asking Kenny to go with him to places (arcade, movies, comic book stores). Kenny can't tell if Butters is just being a friend to him or doesn't realize he enjoys Kenny's company as much as Kenny enjoys his. He's now extra protective of Butters, especially around Cartman, in the form of shutting down anything Cartman thinks that Kenny can smell will cause Butters harm. For this short story, a normal date becomes a throwdown where Kenny is forced to use what he knows to protect the one who saved him.

Summary
Their love has only grown exponentially after their Denver trip which was in April, when the snow starts to melt and the warm creeps back thawing all frozen hearts. In the times they are together, Kenny's attention is on Butters' confidence. He isn't able to assert himself to people who mistreat him, the kids in school and even passing on the streets. Despite claiming he can still stand up to his parents, it doesn't feel right to assume that. Beginning with a spot in the South Park State Fair Talent show, where Kenny has assembled Jimmy and Stan to bring their band Crimson Dawn back for Butters and play like they used to. And they surprise Butters with his own guitar. Grappled with the fact he gets to command an audience, sing, and play an instrument again, Kenny wants to reassure Butters that he has that strong spirit that means he can do anything. All it takes is a little bit of trust and long hair to show the way.

Summary
A little trip of our favorite blondes with spring break around the corner as they plan a trip to Hawaii and fall under the sun's embrace. To exist with sunscreen under the palm trees, as they have yet to return to the place that got the ball rolling for their love. Kenny longs to hold his boyfriend in his arms under those trees with the waves just a few meters away. Butters is looking forward to the activities he gets to learn with Kenny, including some surfing. They've been wanting to get away from the drama happening in high school right now and get away from their families. Kenny's parents know about it, Butters parents obviously not as now they are blocked from ever contacting him, following the incident back in October. But that's behind them now with the new orders in place, shielding Butters until he's 18. But for a week that will melt away...
(I honestly just rewatched the movie Surfs Up and being a surfer myself, seemed like something they would get better at together. Some time to get some sun and ocean in their souls and flow their way romance like a wave)
