Summary
Chloe laughed haughtily with Sabrina behind the girl with the bluest eyes, but she ignored them in favor of waiting on his response.
"U-uh, I was trying to get it off, I swear!" he began to explain, standing and about to defend himself further until she nodded in acceptance.
"I know you didn't do this, so don't worry about it." His anxiety left him, and his shoulders sagged in relief, "Chloe, I'd recommend you grab your gum off my seat before I remind you what actual hurtful words are."
Chloe's laughter comes to an abrupt stop and spluttered angrily, "Nothing you could possibly say would have any affect on me, Marinette Dupain-Cheng!"
Marinette had not once broke eye contact with him, face just as stoic as when he had met her striking eyes, "You sure about that?"
"Try me, Du-pain-Cheng," she bites.
Marinette turned her head to look over her shoulder, and he watched as various classmates visibly brace themselves, "It's because of this behaviour that your mother can never remember your name."
Adrien's jaw drops just as hard as his stomach.
