Summary
The war has ended, but that does not mean everything is fixed.
As Cybertron rebuilds itself from the scars of civil war, polished metal hides fractures that have not healed. Old grudges linger in the seams of new structures. Fragile alliances strain under the weight of memory.
Caught in this uneasy peace, two bots attempt to continue an old agreement in a world that no longer fits it. What once felt simple begins to shift. Boundaries blur. Familiar defenses crack. Old scabs are picked open, and emotions long buried resurface at the worst possible time.

Summary
Long before the war ended, before trials and second chances and awkward attempts at healing, the war was still consuming everything it touched.
A bitter second-in-command leads a Decepticon expedition into the frozen wastelands of Earth after faint Cybertronian signals are detected beneath the Antarctic ice. Already unraveling beneath paranoia, guilt, and desperation for approval, he expects another forgotten relic buried beneath the glacier.
Instead, he finds a ghost.
As ancient bonds resurface and old wounds split back open, the mission forces him to confront everything he has spent stellar cycles avoiding: the monster he serves, the mechs he failed, and the growing fear that every bot he cares about is doomed to suffer for it.
Meanwhile, far away from the ice and snow, an Autobot scout waits for messages that never come.
