"October 7th, two years ago."
Hisoka blinked.
"...What?"
"That," Illumi replied matter-of-factly, "was the last time I slept through an entire night."
Hisoka frowned for a moment before his expression shifted in realization.
"Oh."
He pointed toward the sleeping toddler curled against Illumi's side before laughing.
"Because of her."
Haato had been born on October 8th, two years earlier. Naturally, the night before her birth had been the last uninterrupted sleep Illumi had enjoyed.
