Description:

Kunigawa (供丹川) is one of many country towns littering Japan, steadily bleeding its population and heading inexorably for a small and silent death. Perhaps it would've faded into obscurity were it not for the miracle water that springs forth from the ground one day, prompting tourists to flock from far and wide to cure their ailments.

For a time, business booms and the town prospers. Its children return, hopeful in the face of such a miracle.

And then disaster strikes.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Notes:

This series is a collection of mostly standalone stories set in or around the Kunigawa hot springs resort, or what remains of it after an earthquake irrevocably destroys what little life it had regained. While you're welcome to read whichever story captures your interest, know that each will complement the others in its contribution to the world's lore, including the origins and effects of the miracle water and how the earthquake transmutes its properties.

The miracle water is somewhat loosely based on the amniotic fluid found in Trevor Roberts' Mystery Flesh Pit National Park AR, while the disaster and subsequent aberrations take a lot more inspiration from the AR. However, Kunigawa is certainly not West Texas and there is no national park to be found here. I intend to build my own distinct world... once I figure out what exactly I want to include it in.

(or in less serious words: I like horror, I want to write horror, so I created another series where I could do that in a somewhat contained universe)
