Rocky has mapped out the surrounding stars many many years ago. Yet this star had not been there before.
To add to it, this star is only visible on the petrova frequency. It suggests astrophage.
It suggest a ship.
An alien ship.Or, my interpretation of Rocky's perspective of first contact!

Summary
The two eridians are as stoic as always when Adrian comes to the door. Spitefully, Adrian does not open the door, instead faux-politely greeting them through the stone.
They seem to notice their unsubtle impatience, because instead of the customary greetings, one of the eridians sings: “The engines of the ship have been spotted.”
Adrian flings open the door.~~~
Or, my take on Adrian receiving news that their love is coming home and the resulting reunion.
