Summary
The referee steps into the Ring and then raises Etho’s shaking hand in the air. The triumphant gesture of a victor. The excitement long lost its sweetness; even the tastiest bread grows stale when it’s all a man eats. Etho’s mouth has gone numb to the taste, but the gold’s worth it in the end, he supposes. That’s why he’s doing this, isn’t it?
