Summary
If Gary was restless in the morning, then Collie was certainly clingy. He craved the physical touch and that firm reassurance it entailed. So early into the day, the shame hadn’t yet settled in, so Collie didn’t know he was supposed to control his tendencies. He wasn’t, though, not really. If it were up to Gary, he would stay like this forever. Caged in Collie’s arms, he couldn’t help but let go of all the unrest accumulated in his limbs. Cocooned in Collie’s embrace, he was finally able to relax.
Or a parko vacation fic, because it was long overdue!

Summary
Collie glanced in the direction Pete was nodding, but his eyes found the target sooner than he even managed to finalize the thought. He was hard not to notice. Moving across the opposite side of the lawn in short, quick steps — almost jumps, Collie's brain supplied — was the funniest creature Collie has ever seen. A hybrid, like him and Pete, that much was apparent from the first sight. The boy's tail was flapping angrily from side to side; his pretty — almost annoyingly so — face was scrunched up in something resembling a bizarre mix of resentment, fear and guilt.

Summary
Gary tipped his head, pretending to be deathly offended. Collie was already prepared for whatever cheeky comment Gary would send his way, but he was utterly taken aback by what actually made its way out of his boyfriend's mouth. "I think someone didn't get his ass smacked for a while, huh?"
Collie laughed. Teasing or not, this remark made his heart race even faster. He could feel himself get caught up in this game, and not a single one of his instincts came to scream at him to abandon the mission. "So what, should I turn around for you? Any other requests, chef?"
Or parko getting their freak on in the kitchen. Phew

Summary
It would be so easy to deliver the final hit. Barkovitch already was disoriented, his arresting blue orbs glossed over. He blinked at Collie, awaiting his next move. Maybe the injury was worse than Collie expected, because the next thing he noticed was Barkovitch prodding the bleeding area and wincing. His fingers, already stained with blood, emerged even darker.
"What are you waiting for?" Barkovitch hissed. "Get to it already. And be quick."

Summary
They wanted to kill him.
Dimly, Collie understood that he ought to want that, too. Too many lives were at stake, too high were the stakes in this game of wind and flames. Gary Barkovitch had always been a problem. He didn't know anything better than to ruin, tarnish, incinerate everything in his way, until barren, charcoal-colored landscape was all that remained visible to the eye. He could only destroy. He was an opposite of Collie, who was taught to nurture, to support, to create. He was made to respect the nature and its laws, while Gary was only able to burn. Himself, his surroundings, the ones he held dear. Hell, he'd burn the entire world if his Phoenix would let him to.

Summary
"Shh," Gary admonished, "don't move. It's okay, you're safe. Just don't move too much, alright?"
Collie nodded, eliciting another grunt of dissatisfaction from his— what? Friend? Savior? Muttering something about how this won't do, Gary shifted closer. Collie could hear the slight hissing he let out each time he changed the position of his injured arm. Collie wanted to pick on him, to annoy him about how he wasn't heeding his own warning, but he just didn't have the strength to. He was so dizzy, so confused… Where was Gary? Did he leave? How could he leave if Collie was bound to stay here?

Summary
"It's the last time," Gary gasps, right before Collie drops him onto the bed, and every rational thought evades him at last. From then on, it's just please and more and touch me, for fuck's sake, and Gary knows there's a word for that, but he can't force himself to enunciate it. Can't find the courage within him to bring it to the forefront of his mind. Too bad his brain, as restless and defiant as ever, doesn't want to cooperate.
Pathetic, it whispers, this word is called pathetic.
