Summary
“What’s wrong?” Dick asked. Bruce relaxed immediately - too immediately.
“Nothing, chum. Have some bacon.”
“Did something happen?” Dick took the bacon anyway, in preparation for a quick departure. “Do we have to suit up?”
“What?” Bruce blinked. “No. Nothing’s wrong, Dick. Eat your food. I’m going into work later for a meeting.”
“‘Kay,” Dick answered through a mouthful of bacon. “Is this about the fact that I called you Dad? I’m sorry, it just sort of slipped out. I won’t do it again.”
Bruce froze completely before setting his newspaper down.
OR
Dick calls Bruce 'Dad' and it unlocks a host of feelings for both of them. Since Bruce is terrible at communicating and Dick has many issues, it takes them a second to work it out.

“You’re one to talk, glowstick,” Steph said, but she set the half-empty cup next to her on the ledge. “What’s up? Why aren’t you in bed?”
“I wanted to talk to you,” Duke said.
“You could’ve just texted me,” Steph pointed out.
“That was too much,” Duke said. “This is supposed to be chill. Casual. Fancy running into you on patrol vibes.”
“Good job,” Stephanie quirked her eyebrow. “Now I’m nervous. What’s this about? Did I do something? Is it Tim-”
“No, just calm down!” Duke hit her arm lightly. “I’m having feelings about B and this whole…adoption thing.”
OR
Duke struggles with the thought of Bruce being his dad. He turns to the only people who might understand - the Batfam. They're less than helpful... but maybe there's something there after all.
