The House Beneath the Sun is set in Belkandia, an original ancient-world setting. This series focuses on Kaldarim, one of Belkandia’s major civilizations, whose culture draws inspiration from ancient Phoenicia and the societies that emerged in the region after the fall of the Neo-Assyrian and Neo-Babylonian Empires.

In this world, some men are capable of pregnancy and childbirth. They are externally male, but tend to have denser bones and musculature, larger genitals, greater reproductive capacity, and internal reproductive organs connected through the rectal passage. In Kaldarim society, this biology has developed into the institution of the nazrim: male-bodied spouses who may bear children and enter powerful households through marriage, religion, inheritance, and family law.

This series follows Hanno’s journey into that world, his marriage to Malik of the House of Saref, and the society of temples, merchant houses, power, family, and desire beneath the Kaldarim sun.

This is erotic fiction, but Belkandia is also a setting I hope to use for stories across several genres, cultures, and historically inspired societies. English is not my first language, but I hope you enjoy the story.

And just to be clear: this is not Omegaverse.
