“I am not thanking you! I’m freaking out!”
I squeeze my eyes shut, swallowing hard as clouds pass us by. Wind rushes past my face, but Sword’s warmth prevents me from freezing.
“Well, stop freaking out,” he chuckles, doing a twirl that makes my heart shoot into my throat.
“Open your eyes, silly!”
I frantically shake my head, murmuring death threats that I will definitely follow through with if I live through this. Sword sighs, and I feel the change in the air as he settles into a glide.
“I swear on my life that I won’t drop you, Rocket. You’re safe.”
Or, love is lost and found.
