Garsantos morning on their day off.
“Stay here for a second.” Yolanda stepped out into their bedroom to get her phone and took a picture of Trinity like this. She looked so soft, hair damp and sticking to her forehead, her natural waves coming through slightly, towel wrapped around her like a kid and cheeks pink from the warmth. Yolanda felt like her heart would explode. They both burst out into giggles looking at the photo.
"Delete it."
"Never."
"I look ridiculous."
"Exactly."
"Yoli."
"You're beautiful." Yolanda held Trinity’s hand and kissed her knuckles.

Three years ago, if someone had told her she'd marry the snarky intern from the ED she'd have laughed them out of the room. If they'd told her that same woman would one day be asleep in her arms with a rescued kitten draped across her collarbone after spending the evening fussing over it, she might have laughed even harder.
Now, listening to two different sets of quiet snores fill the room, Yolanda couldn't imagine a life that looked any different.

Trinity and Yolanda bring home a stray cat. She instantly loves Trinity but seems completely indifferent to (borderline dislikes) Yolanda. But it's okay, love is meant to bloom over time.
