Lance was always the one with words, Keith the one to act. Lance debated, discussed, convinced and soothed. Keith fought, and punched, killed and survived.
Keith lived all his life trying to give love, and loosing it all over, ever again. He gave and whenever he took, he got punished for it. He had learned to fight it off over time, to survive despite loosing, to survive without ever giving or receiving any anymore.
Lance started to teach him how to love. How to receive love.
And he wanted to learn how to give love so bad.Keith was never the one with words, Lance was. Lance was the embodiment of wit, of charme, of pure love poured into a single soul, flowing through him like a deep flowing sea. And he wanted to pay Lance back, give him all the kind words he would ever need, so he could learn how to love himself again.
Lance wanted to speak again, Keith hunted him down with a kiss:"And now, you're going to listen to me trying to give all the love back to you."

And in some kind of ironic and twisted way, they ended up back in the Garrison.
Lance had put his mind onto graduating, getting his degree and following the path of becoming a serious professor, putting use of his past war trauma and experience to help forming generations preventing past mistakes and failures, maintaining the galactic peace they had lost so much for, fought so much for.
That's how they ended up as being 'just' some generic teachers at the most serious military school in America.Lance and Keith, teachers at the Garrison, are trying their best to teach their students, gaining their degrees and working on building a steady life. But right now, Keith is getting sick and is denying any type of rest and instead keeps on pushing through.
