“Todd,” Neil finally said after what felt like an eternity. Tears were running down Todd’s face now. Neil did his best to dry Todd’s eyes with his sleeve. “Don’t…” He stuttered. “-make this any harder than it is…”
“What?” Todd asked, pulling Neil closer. “Did I do something? Neil, whatever I did, I-”
“No!” Neil pushed himself off of Todd. Todd instantly froze, staring at the boy who looked as if he’d just kicked a puppy. Neil laid his head in his hands and whispered, “You- I just… I- Todd, I’m so sorry…”
Or: Todd and Neil have the hardest discussion for their lives.

Summary
“God, I love this,” Neil had said.
And then Todd turned to him, eyes bright and hopeful.
“What? Me?”
Neil turned red, immediately replying with, “No, act-acting.” He stuttered, stumbling over every word and syllable. He could see Todd blushing. His face had turned to the most adorable shade of pink Neil had ever seen on a person.
Neil changed the subject, rambling on and on about how acting made him feel and whatnot. He prayed that Todd had forgotten what had just happened.
Luckily, he did.
Neil didn’t
Or: Neil survived and goes back to Welton and Todd does his best to get Neil's life back to normal. Well, as normal as it can get when you have a crush on your roommate.
