Summary
After his humiliation at the UNESCO conference in Denmark, Ryland Grace loses everything. Homeless and without a job, a mixture of pride and shame stops him from approaching his estranged twin Colt Seavers, who "probably has enough on his plate post-accident to worry about his good-for-nothing brother."
At his most vulnerable, he gets recruited by the Eden Institute, a cult masquerading as an independent research facility. There, he meets Simon, and the rest is history.
Eden teaches him how to love and, ultimately, how to protect yourself and those you love. Whatever means necessary.

Summary
After losing Simon and getting rescued from the Eden cult, Ryland is finally reunited with his twin Colt. The journey to healing and reconciliation is long and difficult, but they're getting there.
However, one small mistake sets back all of Ryland's progress and puts a final nail on its coffin.
