Volition × Endurance. Two skills, both tops, one extremely 2017 ship name.

On July 28, 2026 Nini saw immortal-cataclysm's Volition/Endurance artwork on Tumblr, immediately reblogged it, and went completely off in the tags about the only thing that mattered: who was on top?

immortal-cataclysm came into Nini's ask box with the answer. "Neither of them. They're both tops."

Nini's brain melted. Then it melted some more, so naturally she wrote a drabble about this rarepair.

At some point she decided "Endurition" was nowhere near edgy enough. This ship needed the kind of name a 2017 rarepair would have had. Sharp and dramatic. Slightly embarrassing in exactly the correct way. Thus: Woundblade.

Then Nini tagged her good mutual volivolition, fellow skill fic writer and skill artist. Nini wrote some more. volivolition delivered the kill shot and wrote the end. And thus, Woundblade was born.
