Kip did a double take because surely, there wasn't really a bunny here. But when he looked again, the bunny was still there, looking up at him. Kip stared back, completely thrown off.

Summary
Scott was right here. Well, no, bunny-Scott was, who was clearly lacking human-Scott's consciousness at the moment. But still, he was here, just in reach and yet so far away, and Kip wanted to stay and never leave, even if there were still so many complications to the two of them being together.
But at the same time, he knew that Scott might just not want him around at all anymore. Only that Kip couldn't really ask him, because of Scott's bunny brain that was currently calling the shots. And obviously because Carter was here and ugh, Kip really wanted to scream.
