Summary
It was desperation that had me opening that door in the end, that let their claws tear into me.
I’m alone now, with nothing but this dumb tape recorder and my own blood leaking onto the floor. But…. It’s okay. As long as you guys are safe.
or; there are two bodies in a room, and an audio player crackling. Cleo waits, and listens, and the knocking on the door grows louder.

Summary
“That’s what I’m here to ask,” Pearl breathes, and the blood stops rushing altogether in Grian’s ears. “Grian. I want— I can’t— I need you. The world needs you.”
“You want me to die,” Grian says, his own voice alien even to himself. “You want to send me up in that death trap, and to sacrifice my life for humanity.”
“I don’t want any of this,” Pearl begs, her brown hair plastered to her face with tears. “I never wanted any of this to happen. But if we don’t— if you don’t— we all die.”
or; buttercups space travel au, strongly inspired by project hail mary, and featuring stratt!pearl.

Summary
A collection of recovered statements from players trapped in the repeating worlds of the Life Series. Each account is fragmented, unreliable, and soaked through with fear, affection, and the kind of inevitability that feels scripted long before anyone speaks it aloud.
From the first fractures of Third Life, to the paranoia of Last Life, to the soul‑deep bindings of Double Life, the ticking dread of Limited Life, and the whispered confessions of Secret Life, every tape hints at the same truth: something is watching them. Something remembers. Something wants them to return.
As the Archivist attempts to catalogue the tapes, patterns emerge: alliances that feel prewritten, deaths that echo across seasons, and an entity that nudges emotions like pieces on a board. The deeper the Archivist listens, the clearer it becomes that the ritual isn’t confined to the worlds where the players fell… and the Institute may not be as far outside the cycle as they believe.
Orrrrr
A multi‑statement exploration of the Life Series as an ongoing, hungry phenomenon, told through tapes, transcripts, and the slow unraveling of the person forced to listen.
