Summary
Two bodies, mid-air, a graceful arch as father and mother swung high, only for the ropes supporting their weight to abruptly snap. Two bodies that fell, and Bruce surged to his feet in an instant, even before the first screams rang out-
Except. Except.
Someone caught them.
A child, a little girl with thick red hair and golden body paint that glittered under the spotlights. She flew, rocketing out of the backstage curtain, red hair turning into a trail of fire behind her. Bruce could see her expression as she launched herself at the falling acrobats, the naked fear, obvious even with the flamboyant mask worn over her eyes.
She caught them.
She did not catch them correctly.

Signal Not FoundBruce didn’t make a sound. Did not move, aside from his fingers tightening around the comm unit in his hand. Even so, Diana asked with clear concern, “Batman? What’s happened?”
“I’m heading to Blüdhaven.”
A sharp inhale. Four words, and she understood perfectly. “I’ll meet you there.”
