"Yeah. You can pick the movie, something that you think won't be so terrifying for you—"
"I'm not terrified."
"Sure," Yolanda agrees breezily, an amused smile tugging at her lips. "But you choose the movie, and then I help you… enjoy the experience."
She gives Trinity a heavy once over with her eyes at this, and despite her fear Trinity feels heat pool in her stomach. Oh.
or: yolanda has an idea as to how to cure her girlfriend of her fear of horror movies. based in science, of course

Summary
When Trinity starts the first shift of her residency, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and only mildly hungover, her soulmate is perhaps the furthest person from her mind.
Sure, everyone always says that the best place to meet your soulmate, past college and school of course, is at a new job. Hands can be shaken, new faces are seen, yadda yadda yadda, you get the picture. It seems like all her life, people have just been waiting to see that burst of color launch across their skin, the tattoo that will forever mark them as belonging to someone, somewhere.
Who would want that?
Okay, so maybe it's crossed her mind. Once or twice. But Trinity's twenty-six now, and she's decided that maybe it wouldn't be so bad if she never found her soulmate. She doesn't exactly have a good track record with the people closest to her, after all.
or: trinity thinks she might have found her soulmate. but she's probably wrong... or is she?

It's fine, and she's not mortified, and she will not turn bright red. All fine and good and—
"Dr. Santos," Dana says, peering over her glasses in the way she always does when she's trying to figure people out. Sadly, not even the first time this week that she's stared Trinity down like that. "And Dr. Garcia. To what do we owe the pleasure? I didn't think you were working today."
"Hey, Dana," Trinity laughs self-deprecatingly. "I got hurt in a really stupid way, and Lupe told us to just come through."
Dana folds her arms and looks between the two of them with a deadpan expression. "What happened."
"Ripped out a piercing, nothing that bad," Trinity replies smoothly, trying to pretend that she can't feel her cheeks heating up.
Yolanda lets out a noise of disapproval. "Well—"
"It's not that bad," Trinity repeats, sending a glare towards her girlfriend. "I'm walking, aren't I?"
or: trinity and yolanda have to publicize their newly-official relationship for potentially the most embarrassing reason possible
