Summary
Sakura was struggling to pay attention. He hadn't been sleeping well the last couple nights due to the overwhelming heat of his apartment. Instead, escaping to take long walks, enjoying the cool night air.
Seeing Makochi at night is soothing. Everything is quiet, the usually bustling town turned soft. This place is peaceful. Sure they get into brawls pretty frequently, but Bofurin are protectors. That means something.
Sakura stands up to stretch, hoping to wake himself up a bit before lunch ends and patrol begins. He feels his shirt rise with his arms and pauses when he hears an alarmed sound beside him.
Nirei is suddenly right in front of him lifting the shirt higher with a panicked look. “Sakura-san! Where did you get these!?” His voice was loud enough to pull the attention of the rest of the class. Faint noises of distress sounded from the people closest to them as whispers broke out.
Instinct took over and before he even realized it Nirei was on the ground.
Run. A long dormant urge to escape overtakes him as he searches for the closest exit. He needed to get out.
The window.

Summary
“So Sakura, I’m thinking we should get out of town to find some grub. What do you think?”
He seems to consider it for a moment, looking a little uneasy, but eventually nods.
“Sure, I haven’t been out of Makochi in a while. Though I can’t say we won’t get any weird looks if we go.” He says with a shrug.
At the agreement, Umemiya slings an arm over his shoulders, earning a signature flush. “Oi! Don’t grab me!”
He says that but Umemiya can feel him lean into the touch. So instead of letting go, he just holds on tighter and pulls them towards the closest station.
“Dont worry, no one will bother you with me around!”
Sakura flushes and gives him a skeptical look but nods, “Whatever you say.”

Summary
Sakura knew about Valentine's day, but had no use for it. No one spoke to him in middle school, especially not girls. They bullied him just as much as the guys, but he couldn't punch them to make it stop.
Now, he’s walking down the street carrying ten separate bags of chocolate, given to him by girls. Most were gifts meant as a thank you for saving them while on patrol. He remembered most of them, but Sakura wasn’t even the one they talked to.
So why are they giving it to him!?

Summary
Umemiya nudges him a bit, “So what are your plans for the weekend?”
Sakura rubs the back of his neck. He really doesn't want to bother him with a simple tooth ache, but something tells him this might be a little more than that.
He looks away from his brother, “I don't think I’ve ever been to the dentist, and my mouth started hurting.”
He chanced a glance up to Umemiya, and unsurprisingly the older boy looked just as shocked as his friends had been.
“Okay.” he nods, “Well that's definitely something we should have looked at. Can you tell me a little more about the pain you're feeling?”
“It's in the back of my jaw.” He points to the section that keeps throbbing in time with his heart beat. “It started last week but keeps getting worse.” Sakura looks away with a flush on his cheeks, “I thought it was probably important to tell you.”
When he moves his gaze to Umemiya’s face, he’s wearing a proud grin.
“Well I think you made the right choice in telling me. Have you ever heard of wisdom teeth?”
Sakura tilts his head in confusion, “wisdom what?”

Summary
Thoughts up in the clouds, he almost doesn't hear his phone ringing on the table a few feet away. Pulling off a glove with his teeth, he walks over to answer it.
Surprisingly, he sees Sakura’s name. His little brother has never called him before, almost always texting instead. From what he’s gathered the boy has basically no prior experience with phones. It's actually quite adorable how he struggles with them, blowing up when his classmates text to fast for him to keep up.
“Haruka! What's up?”
Silence answers him for a moment until he hears a faint, “Ume?”
He frowns, “Haruka? Can you hear me bud?”
“Ume, I-I need some help.” It's quite like the boy is talking from a distance away, and immediately all levity is replaced with concern.

Summary
It’s a quiet Friday night, hanging out at his little brother’s place when a violent knock reverberates through the small apartment. Immediately both Umemiya and Haruka straighten up from their relaxed positions in front of the small TV.
“Were you expecting anyone tonight?” Umemiya asks.
Haruka shakes his head and rises to his feet. “No. Hanging with you was my only plan.”
The older boy stands up with him to linger by the back room entrance as his little brother opens the door and immediately sways back like he’d been hit. He moves closer to get a better look, and sees a middle aged lady with an angry scowl on her face.

Umemiya was having a great day.
After eating a quick breakfast this morning, Haruka ran out the door to hang out with Tsubiki. Apparently they are going shopping today and he wasn’t allowed to know where.
Though that doesn’t bode well for him, he can’t bring himself to mind. Two of his favorite people are having fun together! Whatever chaos they come up with will probably be worth it.
Tsubiki has actually been on his mind a lot lately.
OR: Sakura is fed up with Umemiya and Tsubiki's mooning, so he decides to do something about it.

Summary
“I have something to talk to you guys about.” Sakura starts awkwardly. “And I don't really know how to say it without being too harsh.”
Nirei, ever the supportive friend, immediately responds with, “You can tell us anything Sakura-san.”
Suo, always close behind his fellow vice-captian adds, “No matter what you have to tell us, we’ll listen.” He smiles and grabs his hand. “I know it's hard to express yourself sometimes, so just speak your mind.”
Kiryuu and Tsugeura both nod in agreement.
“Okay,” He starts. “I know that the accident was hard for everyone, not just me. But recently the hovering and protectiveness has been too much.”
He looks down while rubbing the back of his neck.
“I need to set a boundary.”

Summary
Sakura is pulled out of his uncharitable thoughts by motion out of the corner of his eye. He almost groans when he sees what it is.
Endo is strolling down the street with hands in his pockets, as if there weren’t sleets of rain pelting down. His hair and clothes are absolutely soaked and he had a Konbini bag hanging off of his arm.
The man’s face lights up when he spots him and starts walking his way. Sakura bumps his head against the wall he’s leaning on and groans.
Just his luck he would run into Endo while stuck in the rain.
I’m gonna kill Ume for this.

Summary
Tusbiki heard a lot about Sakura from Ume before they met.
He’s a great fighter with a heart of gold.
It was easy to see that Umemiya already had a soft spot for the boy, calling him his little brother with a bit more gravity than their other kohai. It wasn't unusual per say, but they were surprised at how quickly the relationship grew on both sides.
All it took was one meeting on the roof to confirm that Ume was right, as he usually is when it comes to judging a person's character.
Sakura was a tsundere through and through, but had a naivety and natural charm that drew people in, Tsubiki included. He had firmly placed himself in his heart as a little brother in no time.
